This desk has hand carved pillars on each of the front corners, and drawer handles carved into the shape of a leaf. With 39 drawers above the writing surface this workstation will never be short on storage space. The desk measures 72W x 36D x 57H and has a knee hole that is 27W x 25W. The work surface has an inlay of wood tiles in a simple design. This desk has all the same superior features as the other products offered by the Amish Showroom.

For the more space or budget conscious, Amish Showroom offers the Student Roll Top Desk for $689. It measures 30W x 20D x 45H, is made of solid red oak and can be stained any color you choose. Above the roll top are three drawers allowing storage of school or office supplies, along with a pencil drawer and several cubby holes.

Amish Traditions offers a good line of Amish roll top desks designed to be used as computer desks starting at $2541.50. After adding the drawers to the top, brass hardware, locks on the file cabinets and mission style trim the price would be $2990.50 for the 56” wide desk. These desks offer dovetailed drawers, two pull-out writing shelves, one letter size hanging file drawer and metal drawer slides on the lower drawers with a 100 lbs capacity. Amish Traditions also offers Deluxe Roll Top Desks that are more traditional in styling and features. Their Deluxe line starts at $2966.50 for the 56” wide desk, $3290 for the 62” and $3587 for their 68” model. Like their computer desks, they charge extra for raised panels, a hutch, locking file cabinets and brass hardware.

Beautiful yet simple, functional yet decorative, the Amish roll top desk has a distinctive style with simple lines and superbly crafted features. However, there is a difference between Amish style and Amish made. There are companies that make Amish style furniture using the same mass production methods used for other furniture lines. Not that these imitations are necessarily poor quality, but they are not handmade by Amish craftsmen. It would be a good idea to know what you are getting.
